Hi again my people sorry  haven't posted for a while  because i've been busy of course .  on one of those days  i was busy we had an amazing week packed full of activities IT WAS AMAZING first we went on a bike ride from ois to enfield it was hard at some parts but once we got over them it was amazing when we did arrive at enfield we got to have rather l and p or sprite and what was even better was that we got to have hot chips for lunch and wow did they taste good yum yum yum .  on the second day we went to the orokonui ecosanctuary  and it was soooo cool to see all the wild life we got to see heaps of birds , learnt about trapping and we went on a huge walk and got to see heaps of even cooler stuff  my favourite part was when we saw a tui that was cool but my least favourite part was when we at the peeper that was really hot and not nice. then on the third day we went and did high ropes and orientering it was really fun for the others i was at home sick tho 😷 . then on the forth day we did stuff around the school  there was archery , papakio pond , rock climbing , iona home vistes , the amazing race , rugby and cricket wearable arts and making eco friendly bags . and on the finale day there was a just chilling day we watched movies ,played kahoot , ate lollies and did a sports rotation it was really fun and all the kids that weren't there where at skc doing a  get used to it day it was amazing you should be jealous 😂

 Today four young men were found playing with a 

cannon they have been charged for trying to destroy property and hurting others these four men will be sentenced in prison for over seven years and next time they find a cannon they should tell someone not try  fire it .  Also coming up in this issue big things are happening in the town of moscow  and who will win this  cute cat election will it be Masie meow paws  or fuzzy bon fuzz bum  plus more inside THE DAILY CHIMES!!!

only miss smith to go said bob as he swerved around the corner on his delivery bike now this was no ordinary bike this was the fruit and veg delivery bike!!!!  As bob turned the corner a huge dog jumped out in front of him and because bob wouldn't hurt a fly he swerved and he swerved so hard that he ran off the road and into the park!!! Joe was just rolling a huge hay bale past the park on his way to the halloween party when bob swerved into the park and thunk went straight into the hay bale.

hi my viewers today i thought that you all view my blog but you no nothing about me so today i thought i would do  an all about my blog so here it goes. 

Hi my names Lucia and im twelve years old and im growing up in oamaru. i've lived in oamaru all my life and i love it. my family is a family of 6 including me and my cat. there's my mum Gwynneth my dad Trent little sister Greta my little brother Miller my cat Gypsy and of course me. i love netball i play for the o.i.s mystics it so much fun and i love my team we are all so friendly and kind. my coach is amazing to she's got some really good techniques for warm ups and great ideas for defence and getting away from your devenders. i love art, sewings , reading , computers , friends , family , animals mostly cats and using my imagination. my favourite colour is corel it's like a nice dark red peach colour i love drawing devils please don't judge me on that. my favourite clothes are hoodies and leggings. now my siblings they are so annoying there always on my nerves and half my exercise is chasing them around the house day after day but truly i love them no matter what happens. now my friends there names are kezia and mia there the best friends you could ever want. there blogs are https://oiskezia.blogspot.com/ for kezia and https://oismiah.blogspot.com/ for mia check out there blogs to there really cool. now my favourite artist is narina bailey she has been through so much and she has got through it so well now she puts her life into art you just need to google truly precious art and you will be blown away by her work its incredible she also has her email on there so you can email her to say hi and stuff like that so please do visit her and buy her stuff  so cool she my idol and will always be. i hope you learnt something about me today thank you for all your comments and if you share some of the sames things as me then comment thank you so much for reading.

How do cats purr?

How do cats purr?

Cats, We all know that they purr but there are two types of cats, One that purrs and one that doesn't. The one that purrs is the average house cat and its other friends like the lynx  , bobcat ,  ocelot , cheetahs and cougars also purr. The cats that don't purr roar like the lion , tiger , leopard and jaguar . 

A cat's throat vibrates up to one hundred vibrates per second. A cat purr starts up in its brain, The brain sends neurological signals down to the throat, The muscle in the cat's throat then starts to vibrate really fast as the cat breathes in air in and out of its mouth it passes by this muscle which makes the cat purr.

Cats purr for many reasons and many benefits to. A cat purrs when it is happy , stressed , content , relaxed , sick and in pain. A mother cat purrs when it is giving birth because it may help the pain it is going through. 

Cats can help the human bones by stretching them with their purring. The tremor caused by purring  ables a gentile rithmic on bones which helps strengthen them. A cat's purr can not only lower stress it can also help breathing, lower blood pressure and help get rid of infections. 

So if your cat decides to sleep on top of you and purr at two am then you should maybe let your cat stay there, it could improve your health.

Over there you could never escape you will never leave what was that. “Avalanche run quick get in the back bud lets go zoom” cut that was amazing great acting henry ok get ready for the next clip and action.

the story of a life time

Chapter 1 

Lucy Miles was on her way to her brand new high school and thoughts were flowing through her head  . Will anyone  like me , will I make friends , what class will I get and will I have a mean or nice teacher? You see, Lucy had just moved from  New york to new zealand and she was worried no one would like her even worse  she was starting in the middle of the year . Lucy loved reading , making up stories  , cats and rabbits   , coding for girls and dancing any  kind from jazz to ballet but most of all she loved hip hop. Well here it goes Lucy said as she pushed open the huge glass doors . 

Oh wow this place is big lucy said as she looked from wall to wall there were posters of football teams and basketball players and some encouraging quotes as lucy walked into class she was greeted by a beautiful lady “hi lucy” said the lady say hello class “hi lucy” the class said glumly except for one voice that sounded very excited “lilly can you please take lucy around the school and show her where all the toilets and where she needs to put her bag” “it would be my pleasure” said lily “o and lucy my name's miss dafadoll” . 

“So what's your  favourite animal? do you have siblings and are they older or younger than you  do you like waffles because i do”  said lilly  “well my favourite animal is a rabbits and cats , i have no siblings and i have never had waffles” said lucy “WHAT YOU HAVE GOT TO TRY SOME WAFFLES come over to my house on friday and you can try some if thats ok with your mum and dad” suddenly lucy felt sad and tears started to pour down her cheeks . “oh i am so sorry what did i do” “hey what's wrong” asked lilly  . “I don't have a mum,” said Lucy “she passed away after I was born” . “omg i am so sorry said lilly here have a gummy bear or two” said lilly  lucy looked up at lilly “thank you” she said “can you be my new friend” asked lucy “sure” said lilly . 

Lucy and lily arrived hand in hand skipping their way back into class just as the bell rang for morning break . “So do you like to dance?'' said Lucy. “I love it  My favourite is hip hop. Mine  two”   said Lucy for the rest of the day Lucy and Lilly shared secrets and food of course . At the end of the day Lucy yelled out to Lilly “i can't wait to hang out with you tomorrow have a great rest of the day” “you two” lilly yelled back.

 “Hey dad,” Lucy said as she threw her bag on the smooth carpet . “Hey my lucky lollipop, how was your first day of school?” asked Lucy's dad . It was amazing. “I loved it. I love my teacher and my band new friend, her name is Lily and she asked me if I could have a sleepover after school on friday”. “Sure thing i don't see why not but on one condition you unpack your stuff and do your jobs” “sure thing dad” said lucy “woo hoo” lucy yelled running up the stairs to see her two cats snowy and midnight.  “snowy midnight where are you” lucy said “snowy midnight” lucy started to get worried had they got out her window where were they you see lucy's cats needed to stay inside the new house for a little while so they didn't run back to their old home lucy sat on her bed and thought if i were a cat where would i go ,but soon her thoughts were  interrupted by faint meows coming from the built in wardrobe lucy slowly tiptoed towards the wardrobe . 

Chapter 2

Lucy slowey opened the door to reveal seven newly born kittens “omg snowy you little angel and midnight you cheeky puss”. Iucy left  the room and bolted down the stairs at rocket speed yelling out her dad's name “dad dad dad dad” Lucy called “i'm in the laundry” her dad called out . “dad” lucy burst thro the door “yes what is it” her dad asked “it's snowy she's had seven kittens” lucy said “WHAT” lucy's dad said “come look and be very quiet” . “ok” her dad said . “Well, I'll  be a monkey's uncle, that's crazy” her dad said  . “I have got to text Lily I will be right back”.  Lucy grabbed her phone out of her bag and  texted lilly the good news here's how it went.

And my cat just had seven kittens

“Come on lucy let's go make tea”. “Ok dad,” said lucy. “Your cooking tonight Remember”, “yes, dad” said Lucy.  Lucy and her dad would pick a recipe off the internet  and they would try to create it today Lucy was going to make mac and cheese and for dessert lemonade jelly and vanilla ice cream .

After tea Lucy went to bed dreaming about what the sleepover would be like . The week felt like a year it dragged on and on but finally the day came and one minute was left before school finished lilly and Lucy was about to go flying out of there seats . just then the bell rang “woo hoo” lucy and lilly were out of the class before you could say cats rule two times “yay” lilly said as they burst thro the doors “wow lilly this is amazing” “thanks” lilly said the rest of the time was spent talking and eating waffles when lucy came home on saturday she was bursting with excitement “how are the kittens dad” lucy asked  “there great my baby girl” “i've got some bad news thor”  “we can't keep the kittens” lucy's heart snapped in half “what do you mean we cant keep them” lucy asked her voice shaking  “while there are so many i don't know what to do with them” said her dad   i can keep two  tho right lucy said “no sorry lucy only one  ok” said her dad “yes dad” said lucy .

Lucy ran in her room, dropped her bag down and went back down stairs to   see the kittens. Oh my little babies what will i do now you have to go in a couple of weeks and my dads put a post up on the internet about you  . but what lucy was really worried about was a cute little calico kitten he was so small and cute and he was her absolute favourite since he got his fur and his eyes open she knew he was her favourite so every night while her dad was watching tv in the lounge and she was sirposter be sleeping she snuck down stairs and to bring him up to her bedroom sat him beside her and went to sleep with him purring beside her and in the morning she would bring him back down stairs so her dad didn't know . what if someone saw him and wanted him and then she never got to see him again . Lucy picked him up and put him in her bedroom . you're my little kitten and no one is ever going to ever take you away from me.

Lucy came into the kitchen that night  ready to eat her tea and her eyes were blood red from crying . OMG lucy what happened her dad asked in a shocked voice . i've been crying dad lucy said her voice croaky . why asked her dad lucy suddenly lost it BECAUSE MY FAVOURITE LITTLE KITTEN IS ON THE INTERNET AND HE MIGHT BE GONE SOON I LOVE HIM SO MUCH TAKE HIS PICTURE DOWN SO HE DOESNT LEAVE  ME HE MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME PLEASE dad please . the next thing you know Lucy was crying her eyes out and hugging her dad so tightly and saying sorry a million times . 

¨Hey lucy it's ok, i'll take it down if you really want me to¨ Dad said guiltily

 really or crouse i would never let him go if you love him that much

 “oh dad i've made such a big mistake i feel really stubid now” said lucy  well don't i should've let you choose before i put them all up just then the phone went hi hello is the mr miles yes this is millie here and i was just wondering if i could pop over tomorrow to see the kittens she said sure thing  how about four o clock so my daughter can be there to right lucy a faint yes can be heard for the other side of the phone. Ok i'll see you tomorrow bye bye. Who was that asked lucy it was a girl coming to look at the kittens oh i hope she's nice she sounded nice on the phone said lucy's dad oh ok said lucy now let's have dinner ok even tho it was lucy's favourite she could only manage a mouthful she was just to worried about the lady and the kittens . that night lucy tossed and turned in bed she was having a nightmare about that lady and her little kitten the lady came early and then she wasn't there to stop the lady from having her little kitten and then she could hear his tiny meows crying for her lucy woke up with a start and there on the ground was her kitten.

Chapter 3

Oh no! she must have fallen out of the bed because of Lucy's tossing and turning! As quick as a flash, Lucy jumped out of bed, gently picked up the kitten and laid her on the bed. They had once learnt how to know if a cat or kitten had a broken bone so she used that to see if anything was broken good good good bad oh no lucy could feel a bone and it felt a little out of place also every time she tucked it the kitten did a little mew like it sounded it was in pain . lucy thought quick she needed a vet but it was eleven at night and she new that they wouldn't be open she started to panic ok breathe lucy made a little bed for the kitten and then stayed up all night watching over and looking at the internet for one of those cat carrier bags for the kitten finally she found one she ordered it and it said it would arrive at seven am sweet dont worry little one . lucy snuck downstairs to find her dad's bag he won't mind we he no i need to tell him so lucy went to her dads room dad dad wake up lucy what is it it's the kitten i love oh dad im s sorry i've been taking the kitten to my room and sleeping with him and i through nothing  bad would happen to him but i had a horrible dream and then i woke up and he had fallen off the bed and i think his legs broken and i i feel sick suddenly lucy trew up all over the ground oh dad i'm so sorry waaaa waaaa lucy just let it out she cried and cried and cried i brought a cat bag carrier for the kitten and and i was going to take him there after school and with your credit card but i knew you would know something was up lucy threw up again and started to cry harder hey lucy its ok baby i am a bit  cross but i knew you were just trying to help .

Oh dad but what about the lady that's coming well we know she won't be having your little kitten so there's nothing to worry about . oh ok thats good but what if i've done something really bad what if i have hurt him so bad that it can't be fixed said lucy. Don't think about it babe it will be fine said Lucy's dad. Now you go back to bed and all take your kitten to the vet to see what they can do in the morning ok ok said lucy . as lucy hoped back into bed she couldn't sleep she just tossed and turned, not able to get comfy and she was too scared that that horrible nightmare might come back .

In the morning lucy pulled on her uniform  and brushed her hair she decided she would wear makeup in case anyone asked about her eyes um lucy that package is here her dad yelled from down stairs ok coming lucy finished adding some blush and rushed down stairs she signed and handed over the money oh it's lovely said lucy thank she said as she closed the door behind her. So are you almost ready for school? It was eight twenty five yup just going to say bye to the kittens oh ok see you after school love you dad and she gave her dad a kiss on the cheek but what Lucy didn't know was her nightmare was about to come true .

Lucy arrived at school and had a big welcome from lilly hey hey so can i come over and look at th kittens after school three tirty ish because i have dance at four because a i really want one and b mum and dad let me have one ok she you there lucy dident want to tell lilly about what had happened because she felt to dumb about it . the day went so fast lucy didn't want it to end you  coming lucy said as they walked to the gate hey dad can lilly come over to look a the kitten only for ten minutes tho i need to get to dance oh sure i don't see why not said lucy's dad when they got home lilly and lucy got changed and went to get food imm this is so good thanks lilly said lucy's dad. And then they went to the kittens you stay and watch the kittens lilly i need to ask my dad a question ok said lilly hey dad how's my kitten he's good they said they he had just sprained it said her dad oh that's good said lucy hey lucy iv e got to go now see you at school and can you maybe put this city on hold till next time asked lilly it was the kitten with the black body and white patches ok i will said lucy thanks bye said lilly

she could hear her dad humming his favourite song
lucy couldn't help but giggle
when  lucy came back it was dark

Lucy and dad set up the fire and

slept very soundly in their little tent.
